Sadie is a blind pooch looking for a seeing human to help her out occasionally, although if you ask her she does pretty well all by herself. She definitely has boundaries and likes her people to respect them. Ever since she was attacked by a coyote at a young age and lost her sight she is a bit nervous in new situations as you might expect. She does great on a leash and would be an easy dog for an apartment or condo since shes quiet, doesn’t need room to run, just a potty spot and maybe a place to lay in the sun. She has been an indoor dog and is reliably house trained and will ask to go out.
She is a big fan of a quiet adult life and is an appreciation for naps pets and scritches. She lives for dinner and food of most any kind. Loves treats and will sit, lay and get up on her hind legs to get them. Her favorite is fresh apple and will beg if you are eating one, she has great hearing and knows the sound. Also it is so good that she can hear dogs barking, blocks away and will have to get her opinion in on what they are saying in her gruff little voice.
She is not a fan of cats, puppies, children or other rambunctious dogs. She had been fine with the dogs in foster home and wouldn’t mind some canine companionship with the right friend. Also a patient owner who will work with her and build trust and confidence in a new environment until she becomes familiar with the floor plan and routine.
